Safety, Well-being and Inclusion

We strengthened the occupational safety and health culture

(103-1) Our employees are GEB’s most important asset. For this reason, one of our top priorities was to ensure their health, safety, well-being and understanding that this is a company that works for inclusion, especially during a year filled with challenges, concerns and actions that affected our teams, but which enabled demonstrating our commitment to each member of this company.

The COVID-19 pandemic made us reassess our processes and redefine the top risk factors, in order to protect the health of all our employees. We made our best efforts to manage them appropriately, in accordance with our cultural attribute of Life Comes First. We also replicated these good practices with our suppliers and contractors.

Despite the difficulties, we moved forward in our purpose of being a healthy company and we worked on consolidating and strengthening our Vision Zero Occupational Safety and Health culture.

Another top priority issue that is of central importance to us is to promote equity, justice, equality and impartiality, as well as opportunities in our teams. The balance for 2020 is positive because we continued to consolidate our Diversity and Inclusion Plan, with spaces that enable our employees to be authentic and to be surrounded by an environment of respect: we know that even though we belong to the same GEB family, we are different and unique.
